Senior TYPO3 Developer

Visitor Analytics is a high-performing start-up that aims to offer an all-in-one solution for any website in regards to website statistics, UX & behavior (recordings, heatmaps, funnels, etc.), visitor interaction, and so much more. Founded in January 2016 in Munich and Cluj, our app has been installed more than 2.0M times by users from 190 countries. There are currently around 1.86 billion active websites on the web. Our tool is compatible with any website. So the potential is huge.

We are always looking for opportunities to extend our team with new proficient and talented colleagues who love working in a start-up culture, and this time, we need a Senior TYPO3 Developer, with strong technical skills and relevant experience of at least 4 years.

Everything takes place in a very flat hierarchy – with everyone closely working together on our common goal of building the #1 analytics application on the planet.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage our global TYPO3 instance with currently 20+ sites with 10+ languages
• Optimization of the current in terms of Performance, Reliability and Maintenance
• Improve (Lighthouse) Page Speed and UX by adjusting and tweaking TYPO3 & CSS
• Build new custom TYPO3 Extensions to improve the functionality of sites of our instance
• Best-Practise Backup and Rescue Strategies

Core skills:

You’re a motivated team player who takes initiative and pride in his work and contributes to an informal working environment. You will be confident in your ability to develop the product, taking into account the following:

• At least 4 years of working experience with the TYPO3 Content Management System
• Clean Code
• Deep Experience with Multi Domain and Multi Language TYPO3 installations/instances
• Excellent knowledge of TypoScript (TS), Fluid, extbase (legacy code), DCE
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Development with TYPO3 (and GIT)
• Templating Skills based on given (Photoshop/Figma) layout with sophisticated CSS
• Knowledge in jQuery (with the goal to replace with TypeScript maybe soon)

Nice-to-Have

• Certified TYPO3 developer
• Ideally already (some) existed published extension in the TER
• Willing to take responsibilities and learn new things fast to push things further
• Server Management Experience (Apache2, nginx, Varnish, MySQL, LetsEncrypt certbot etc.)
